Screamer
So the latest form of communication that Puppy does is.... scream. Not any ordinary scream, it's the kind that pierces the ears and makes you cringe. I realize that he found it most effective to get our attention especially when he's competing for attention with the girls. It's so easy to ignore a baby when you have 2 talking girls in your face. So because it's so effective in getting our attention, he does it all the time. When we tell him no whenever he screams, he cries and screams. So we are trying to be attentive but he does it when he wants something and it's hard when we can't give it to him. How to deal.... hmmmm

yeah, i dunno... if you figure this one out, please do share. with emerging need for independence and want for instant gratification, our N has begun throwing tantrums. and i'm at a loss to know what to do, esp when this happens in front of others... oi~ this parenting stuff is so full of mysteries.
you've got a screamer?! i don't envy you. when g started screaming, i would try to ignore it so that she would know that it wasn't an effective way to communicate... but i can imagine that it would be difficult to enforce this with 2 other kids.
i've already noticed that my A cries more and louder than G ever did. probably b/c it actually gets our attention.
Hmm... I hope Jonah is over this screaming phase.
Being a fan of the SuperNanny lady's techniques, I'd agree with her and RBK, ignore it as best you can. Eventually he'll realize that THAT behavior isn't productive or beneficial to communication.
I CANNOT believe how big your kiddies are getting! My heart broke a little when I realized that E and J had started to forget who I was! *sniff* I guess it's high time I come over or we hang out, huh?
