today, Lindsay Price was on rachel ray. I remember her in the 80's doing a toys rus commercial and was pleasantly surprised to see an asian looking gal on tv. Thus, opening my dreams for a career in theater. I quickly forgot about her but I still had a dream to be an actress/director/producer ... something to do with drama. As many korean parents, they squashed my dream every time I brought it up. The dream has gone but not forgotten... I saw Price and she's really cute and she's now in the show 'Lipstick Jungle' on NBC. It got picked up so I'm assuming it's doing well. Price is starring with Kim raver (24) and Brooke Shields. She's cute. I was surprised when she told rachel ray that her mother is korean. Price is half korean. Not only was she korean, but she's my age.Growing up how my parents would continue to tell me that there would be no asian faces in the entertainment industry. How impossible it would be because America would never be open to Asians in the industry.
Now, if they see, Price, sandra Oh, and YunJin Kim (lost). Many more... I'm sure the road to their success was long and hard but at least they went for it.
AH!! But I know that I am where I should be and I am content just watching movies and admiring or complaining what I see. :)

i used to want to be in k-dramas. oh, those sappy, tear-jerkers... i was and still is a corny child. :)
I didn't know she was half Korean!
i just saw her on regis & kelly last week. she really is very pretty. i had no idea she was half korean. represent!
i figured she was half-something. cool that she's korean. did you know that daniel dae kim (lost) was also blocked from pursuing acting for a long time by his parents? apparently they wanted him to be a lawyer. so he took the LSATs, got a high score, and then told his parents to shove it and became an actor.
you could have been a really good Korean actress too! growing up, my mom used to tell me being in acting industry is only for brainless people in order to completely turn me away from it too. Sad...but I am happy where I am too!!! : )
